Founded by Peter Thwaites in 1999, Netports Australia is wholly owned by Peter who is a hands-on owner/operator. Peter's brother Chris, with a wealth of banking and financial accounting industry experience to his credit, joined Netports Australia in 2004 and now oversees the  e-Path credit card payment gateway operations and manages the billing and accounting department of Netports Australia in Brisbane.
Netports Australia is 100% Australian owned and is now managed out of Cairns, North Queensland, Australia. Netports Australia utilise datacenters in Brisbane, Melbourne, Dallas and Altanta to deliver the highest possible performance and reliability across its range of core product and service offerings. We do not own any of these datacenters . . . not yet.

Best Hosting Servers - All servers are periodically upgraded to ensure our customers enjoy the best hosting infrastructure, are tested daily for speed and stability issues, and monitored 24/7 by skilled system administrators. Quad Xeon™ 2.8 Ghz with 4 GIG RAM and RAID array HDD's are specifications you are not likely to find being offered by many Australian webhosts, at least not for anywhere remotely near our pricing. But that's what we are about. Its what we do.
There Are Cheaper Alternatives - If we hosted on a batch of old single CPU servers with only 512 MEG RAM or less, maybe had a cheaper control panel instead of cPanel™ and had them located in sub-standard datacenters then we could easily reduce our hosting prices considerably. But our clients would only be getting the same type of hosting that is common place and our support department would be running red-hot. Sorry, but that type of hosting model can be left for the other webhosts out there. While we do come reasonably close to being amongst the least expensive webhosts in Australia, the truth is we are not. If you want the absolute cheapest website hosting, then you're looking at the wrong website.
No Gimmicks - While many other webhosts may rely on expensive advertising, cheap prices, colourful websites and service gimmicks to gain attention, Netports Australia prefers to rely on our existing customers spreading the word about their experiences with us. We don't make a fuss about it, or overly advertise it, we just do it.
